The Dilemma of Posting Too Much vs. Not Enough
Are you the type of person who posts numerous times a day to your personal Facebook page? Or are you the type that is rarely heard from? Word to the wise, neither posting style is going to get you far on your business page! You have to find the balance between posting too much and not posting enough!
There’s no rule that is written in stone for how many times you should post to Facebook, but I’ve found the best results with my accounts that post once a day, but not less than 3 times a week. You want to stay in front of your customers so they don’t forget about you, but you don’t want to constantly be in their face, or they’ll tune you out! (My husband does this when I get on a kick about something and I start to “nag”, as he refers to it.)
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN POSTING TO YOUR BUSINESS PAGE
Is what you’re posting or sharing true to you, your brand, and does it properly reflect your business? If the answer is no, then leave it right in the newsfeed. There’s enough clutter on social media these days; you don’t want to add to it. Always use your best material so that your business shines above the rest.
Also, keep in mind the times that you’re posting throughout the day. If you post multiple times a day, be sure your posts are spaced out so that you don’t overwhelm your followers.
In a nutshell, when your posts don’t get the instant love and engagement, it affects your page and ultimately your algorithms. But that’s another conversation for another day.
Social media can be an outstanding marketing tool when used properly! Find that happy medium when posting to your business page - and enjoy the results!
Happy posting!
